Government must act on increasing Support for Boycott of Olympic Games in China
At a press conference in Buswell’s Hotel in Dublin today April 7th, the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) outlined the need for the international community to protest at the increasing human rights situation in China. Spokesperson for the CIPFG, former Green Party MEP Patricia McKenna said, “In light of the increasing public support for a boycott of the Olympic Games there is an onus on Ireland, as a defender of human rights to take a lead on this matter.”

Forum: International VIP’s To Convene in Taiwan to Discuss Human Rights in China Prior to the 2008 Olympics

CIPFG Launches Global Anti-Persecution Petition and Plans for Human Rights Torch Relay to Enter China

PRESS RELEASE

As part of its ongoing efforts to end the Chinese government’s brutal treatment of Falun Gong practitioners, the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) has begun a campaign to secure one million signatures on a worldwide anti-persecution petition. The signatures will be gathered ahead of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and will be presented to the International Olympics Committee, the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, international human rights organizations, and various governments and parliaments around the world.
